I am a proud graduate of Tom Bean ISD.  I received my college degree from East Texas State University, in Commerce, Texas.  I began my teaching career for Sherman ISD at Wakefield Elementary. In 2004, I began teaching 5^th grade at Tom Bean Elementary.

I am married to Steven Courtney and have three children, Madeline, Katy and Cade.

 

I knew at a very early age that I wanted to teach.  I was blessed to have several teachers here, at Tom Bean ISD that set beautiful examples for me.  I was encourage and provided with the skills necessary to fulfill my goal of becoming an educator.  I believe teachers make an impact on all children, whether it is good or not is up to us.  It is my desire to make a positive impact by providing an environment that is safe, stimulating and supports educational and emotional growth.
